A Labour government will:

Stop the cuts to school budgets with a real terms increase in funding

Reduce class sizes to under 30 for all five, six and seven year olds and introduce free school meals for all primary school children.

Introduce free, life-long education in FE colleges and improve the quality of apprenticeships.

A message to local parents from Marina
Like you, I’m a local parent and am appalled to see the education cuts a future Tory government is planning to make.
All local state schools are threatened with cuts.
Our schools are deciding whether they should:

lose teachers
-
open on a part time basis
-
ask parents to pay to make up the shortfall in funding
This is unacceptable.
The Tories don’t have the right to play fast and loose with our children’s education.
Our future generation deserves better than this.
