 Best for Beckenham

I am honoured to be standing again as your Beckenham Labour Party candidate on 8th June.

I grew up in Britain and refuse to let anyone put this country down. I have lived in the constituency for fifteen years, choosing to raise my family here.

I have worked for the public sector as well as training as a barrister. I now help people set up grassroots projects.

I have two children at local schools and am married to an NHS doctor.

As a working mother, I know families make hard choices. As an NHS user, I am horrified at the lack of funding, the erosion of services.

The dedication of the staff holds it together. Labour built the NHS and will keep it safe.

I am appalled at the proposed Tory education cuts, where every state school in Beckenham will be affected. As a parent, I know this is playing with our children’s future and no government has the right to do that.

I meet people everyday in insecure housing. I grew up in the safety of a council house. A Labour Government will build a million new homes over five years, with at least half of those being council houses.

Britain needs a Brexit which puts the economy and working people first. The Tories are prepared to gamble with our economy and put at risk thousands of jobs. Labour will secure a safe Brexit with strong workplace rights and negotiate a deal which allows us to prosper outside of the EU.

Theresa May’s policies will take this country back decades; grammar schools, fox hunting, and further cuts to our NHS and public services. She is seeking a mandate for her reckless and damaging approach to Brexit.
On 8th June, you have the chance to say that you and your family matter. Health, education, pensions, housing and Brexit are important to all of us.
